Public Invited to shape conservation at East Hawaiʻi Local Working Group meeting
East Hawaiʻi Soil & Water Conservation District together with U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service invites the public to attend its annual Local Working Group meeting.

The meeting is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 19 in Room 204 Conference Room A at University of Hawaiʻi Komohana Research & Extension Center, located at 875 Komohana St., in Hilo.

Agricultural leaders, farmers and forest landowners are encouraged to connect with agency representatives and share their views about East Hawaiʻi’s natural resource conditions and conservation needs. Participant input will help identify key concerns and inform Natural Resources Conservation Service’s local conservation program development and funding decisions.
The Local Working Group advises Natural Resources Conservation Service, ensuring conservation programs are tailored to East Hawaiʻi’s unique needs.
Together, these stakeholders collaborate to strengthen conservation efforts throughout the region.
