UPDATE: Police report Kaʻūmana Drive near 7-mile marker open to all traffic

Update at 7:12 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026: Hawai‘i Police Department reported just before 7 p.m. Saturday, March 28, that Kaʻūmana Drive near the 7-mile marker in Hilo is open to all traffic.

That portion of the roadway was previously closed earlier Saturday after a traffic crash.

Hawai‘i Police Department thanks the public for its cooperation.
