Alternating one-lane traffic will be in place on Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road (Highway 130) between ʻAuliʻi Street and Makuʻu Drive due to construction set for today, March 24.

The Hawaiʻi County Department of Water Supply is set to perform trench paving work from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Police and message boards will be stationed to inform motorists to slow down before the road work.

Motorists should expect delays and drive with caution. If this planned work must be canceled, the makeup date will be March 25.

For more information, call District Supervisor Daniel Taka Jr. at 808-961-8790.
