Update: Water main break at Kona Palisades subdivision has been repaired

Update, 4 p.m. Jan. 29: The water main break that affected all of the Kona Palisades subdivision on Thursday has been repaired and normal water use can resume, the Hawaiʻi County Department of Water Supply said.

Original post: A water main break has occurred Thursday morning that is affecting all of the Kona Palisades subdivision, including all side roads and lanes, the Hawaiʻi County Department of Water Supply said.

Customers in the affected area will have no water service until approximately 4 p.m. today while county crews repair the broken water main.

Affected customers and the general public may obtain safe drinking water from the spigot located along Māmalahoa Highway (Highway 190) near Maka‘ula Road in Kalaoa.
