Hawai‘i Island police renew request for information on Puna man missing since February

Hawai’i Island police are renewing their request for information from the public about a man from Puna reported missing in February.

Rick Andrade, 37, of Kurtistown, was last seen in the area of Volcano and Enos Roads in Kurtistown on Feb. 11, however, detectives have since learned that he was seen later that evening around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 40th Avenue and Pohaku Drive, according to a news release from police.

Andrade is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 189 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He is reported to have the following tattoos: a ti-leaf lei band on his right bicep, the name “Andrade” in large lettering on his upper back, and lettering on his right shin.

Police ask anyone who may have information about Andrade’s whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or Detective Duane Rapoza of the Area I Criminal Investigation Section at 808-961-2383 or via email at Duane.Rapoza@hawaiicounty.gov.
