Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures and road work projects for state roadways on the Big Island during the week of Aug. 3-8.

HIGHWAY 11
HŌNAUNAU
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 103 and 105, in the vicinity of Kiʻilae Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for cutting grass and shoulder work.
MOUNTAIN VIEW
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 14 and 17.5, in the vicinity of North Laukō Road and Mauna Kea Drive, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for mulching and shoulder work.
OCEAN VIEW
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 70 and 76, in the vicinity of Easement Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for removal of existing striping, striping, installation of centerline, rumble strip and pavement markers.
PĀHALA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 53 and 55 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for shoulder work.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 84 and 86, in the vicinity of Old Māmalahoa Highway, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for removal of existing striping, striping, installation of centerline, rumble strip and pavement markers.
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 89 and 93.5, in the vicinity of Papalani Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for removal of existing striping, striping, installation of centerline, rumble strip and pavement markers.
VOLCANO
ROVING LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 28 and 28.5, in the vicinity of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for Hawaiian Electric to install a new pole and wiring.
HIGHWAY 19
PĀPAʻALOA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 23.9 and 24, in the vicinity of Kaiwilahilahi Bridge, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4 for bridge maintenance.
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction, in the vicinity of mile post 24.3, in the vicinity of Kihalani Bridge, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 5 for bridge maintenance.
LAUPĀHOEHOE
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 24.7 and 24.9, in the vicinity of Kuwaikahi Bridge, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 6 for bridge maintenance.
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 24.9 and 25, in the vicinity of Manowaiopae Bridge, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 7 for bridge maintenance.

SHOULDER CLOSURE in the southbound direction between mile posts 6.9 and 7.1, in the vicinity of 33rd Avenue and Makuʻu Drive, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for installation of a street light foundation.

WAIMEA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 0 and 1, in the vicinity of Lindsey Road and Lālamilo Farm Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for striping.
SOUTH KOHALA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 12.2 and 16.4, in the vicinity of Saddle Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for striping.

MĀHUKONA
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 4 and 9, in the vicinity of Ala Kahua Drive, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for tree trimming and shoulder work.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 0.5 and 2.2, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 4-8 for striping and installing new raised pavement markers.
