Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public for help with identifying a person of interest in an ongoing assault investigation connected with an April 27 incident in Hilo.

Person of interest in Hilo assault investigation

An image of the suspect was captured in surveillance footage from a business in the 100 block of Pūʻainakō Street.

The man is white, in his 20s to 30s, about 6 foot tall, with short blond hair and possibly unshaven.

Anyone with information about the man’s identity is asked to contact Officer Daniel Mahi-Murray with the South Hilo Patrol Division at 808-935-3311 or via email at daniel.murray@hawaiipolice.gov.
