The County of Hawaiʻi Department of Public Works will update its Electronic Process Information System for permit applications on May 23 to improve the site’s performance and change the service fees.
As a result, the site will be unavailable from 2 a.m. on May 23 until 8 a.m. on May 26. No new permit applications will be accepted during this time on the system, also known as EPIC.
Hawai’i County’s EPIC system for permitting will be offline on May 23-25 for upgrades and fee changes.
The update will include the following enhancements:
Enhanced access and navigation tools to make EPIC more user-friendly.
Resubmittals will now consistently display the resubmit button as expected.
Faster file uploads and improved overall system performance.
Adjustments to the online payment process for a smoother experience.
The new EPIC system service fees:
Service Fee-eCheck: Increases from $1 to $1.75
Service Fee-Credit Card: Increases from 2.95% with $2 minimum to 3.75% with $2.50 minimum
