No more fatal crashes or fatalities were recorded during the past week on island roadways, which helped swing the stats in a positive direction for the year.

While there have been 7 fatal crashes and 8 fatalities in 2025, there were 8 fatal crashes and 8 fatalities by the same time last year. Though that’s just 1 less fatal crash, it represents a 12.5% decrease from 2024.
