Hawai‘i Island lane closure schedule for week of Feb. 8-14

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation officials announce the scheduled lane closures happening the week of Feb. 8-14 on Big Island roadways.

Motorists are reminded that schedules can change at any time, without notice. All projects also are weather permitting.

— VOLCANO ROAD/MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 11) —

KEA‘AU TO KURTISTOWN (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

KEA‘AU TO KURTISTOWN

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 7 to 9, in the vicinity of Old Volcano Road and North Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 89 to 91, in the vicinity of Papalani Place, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 97.3 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Monday, Feb. 10 through Friday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for safety improvements.

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 4.4 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Kahoa Street, on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for maintenance on Honolii Bridge.

PAPA‘ALOA TO O‘OKALA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 21 to 29, in the vicinity of Kaihuiki Road, on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.
