UH-Mānoa’s online nursing program gets top national ranking
The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene has earned high marks in a new ranking.
In the 2025 U.S. News and World Report’s best online programs list, the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa ranked No. 41 among the top 211 online master’s in nursing programs.
The university was the only nursing school in Hawaiʻi to be ranked for online education.
The U.S. News and World Report’s best online master’s in nursing programs were assessed in student engagement, faculty credentials and training, peer assessment, student services and technologies, and student excellence.
The online Advanced Population Health Nursing program is an online master’s degree for registered nurses. The 30-credit program focuses on population-level health, wellness, social determinants of health, health promotion and disease prevention. Coursework is completed online and fieldwork is conducted in the student’s own local community.
