On Hawai‘i Island, travelers headed to Hilo International Airport on Dec. 2 should expect delays, according to the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation.

The transportation department has issued an advisory, recommending travelers arrive at Hilo International Airport two hours before their flights.

The delays anticipated Monday are due to reduced capacity at the airport’s security checkpoint.
