Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced lane closures for the week of Nov. 9-15.

In observance of Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11, there will be no contraflow and no work on State Highways unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

PĀHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 51 to 53, on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

NĀ‘ĀLEHU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 56 to 58, on Saturday and Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

CAPTAIN COOK

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 89 to 91, in the vicinity of Papalani Place, on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for mowing and shoulder work.

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 93 to 95, in the vicinity of Ohia Malu Road and Kukui O pae Place, on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HŌNAUNAU

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction, between mileposts 97.2 to 104.7, in the vicinity of Haleili Road and the Filipino Clubhouse Road, on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for safety upgrades to the roadway.

— HAWAI‘I BELT ROAD/KAWAIHAE ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mileposts 2.84 to 2.86, in the vicinity Pukihae Bridge, on Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for bridge maintenance.

HILO TO PAPA‘IKOU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mileposts 4 to 6, in the vicinity of Kukai Place, on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

PAPA‘IKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mileposts 5.84 to 5.85, in the vicinity of Enoka Place, on Nov. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for bridge maintenance.

PAPA‘IKOU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mileposts 8.2 to 8.21, in the vicinity of Indian Tree Road, on Nov. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for bridge maintenance.

PEPE‘EKEO TO HAKALAU

Single lane closure on Hawai‘i Belt Road (Route 19) possible in either direction, between mileposts 12 to 15, in the vicinity of Cane Road and Chin Chuck Road, on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting and shoulder work.

— KEAAU-PĀHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

PĀHOA

Single lane closure on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) possible in either direction between mileposts 8 to 10 on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for mowing.

— DANIEL K. INOUYE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 200) —

WAIĀKEA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mileposts 8 to 12, in the vicinity of Akoni Pule Highway, on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for moving of concrete barriers.

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

HAWĪ (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mileposts 16 to 19, in the vicinity of Akoni Pule Highway, on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction, between mileposts 16 to 18, in the vicinity of Hawi Road, on Nov. 12 through Nov. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for mowing.

— PU‘AINAKO STREET (ROUTE 2000) —

HILO

Single lane closure on Pu‘ainako Street (Route 2000) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kanoelehua Avenue and Komohana Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Friday, Nov. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving the roadway and doing shoulder work as part of the Pu‘ainako Street improvements Project.
