The iconic musical “The Rocky Horror Show” is a biannual tradition at the Aloha
Theatre on Hawai‘i Island. It will be performed this year with a live band on Halloween.

“The Rocky Horror Show” is the basis of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” a cult classic film from 1975 starring Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon.

In the quirky and bawdy rock musical production, sweethearts Brad and Janet discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler.

Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.” Love triangles become pentagons, hearts are broken and freedom is found. Audiences are invited to dress up and, of course, dance the “Time Warp” once again.

This production is directed by the Aloha Theatre’s artistic director, Sara Athans, with vocal
direction from Wendy Buzby and Linda Rowand. Music direction by Maika’i Nash. Choreography is by Meg Duka and Emma Marr.

Kaha’i Hai-Kelly stars as Dr. Frank ‘N’ Furter. Grace Klinges as Riff Raff, Kristin Jackson as Magenta and Amelia Thorne as Columbia round out the dark household. Brad and Janet will be played by Jhett Duff and Francesca Libarona.
