Update at 3:49 p.m. Feb. 12: Hawai‘i Island police report that 51-year-old Deidre Ichimura of Hilo, who was previously reported as missing, was located the morning of Feb. 12 in good health in Hilo.

Original post: The Hawai‘i Police Department is asking the public for help with finding a woman who has been missing since the end of January.

Police report that 51-year-old Deirdre Ichimura was last seen Jan. 30 on Apoke Street in Hilo.

Ichimura is Asian, 5-foot-2, 160 pounds, with a tan complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing.

Anyone with information that can help safely locate Ichimura is asked to call 9-1-1 or contact police dispatch at 808-935-3311.
