Update: Police find runaway Kiana Gilliland in good health

Update at noon on Feb. 29: Hawai‘i Island police have reported that 17-year-old Kiana Gilliland, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located in Volcano on Feb. 26 in good health.

Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Kiana Gilliland who was reported as a runaway.

She was last seen in the area of 1000 block of Leilani Street in Hilo on Jan. 28 at around 9 p.m., wearing a white shirt and black shorts.

She is described as being a Pacific Islander with a fair complexion and a medium build, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 135 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.

Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to please call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
