Update: Missing Idaho visitor found safe in Puna

5:22 p.m. Jan. 27 update: Hawai‘i Island police report that 45-year-old Jennifer O’Meara, a visitor from Idaho who was previously reported as missing, was found Saturday morning in the Puna District in good health.

Original post: The Hawai‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help with searching for 45-year-old Jennifer O’Meara, who is visiting the Big Island from Idaho and was reported missing.

O’Meara is 5-foot-9, 250 pounds, with black and gray hair and a tan complexion. She was last seen at 10:30 a.m. Thursday on Kanoelehua Avenue in Hilo, wearing a green shirt and brown shorts.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
