Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area closed for vector treatment Tuesday

The Gilbert Kahele Recreation Area will be closed on Tuesday from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for vector control operations, according to the Hawaiʻi County Department of Parks and Recreation.

The Recreation Department recommends travelers plan to pass through this area with the knowledge that the public restrooms and amenities at this park will not be available during this timeframe.
