4:31 p.m. Jan. 16 update: A Kailua-Kona man reported missing has been found.

Hawai‘i Island police reported Caige Wheeler, 23, missing on Monday. He was located today in Kona in good health.

Original post: The Hawai‘i Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance locating 23-year-old Caige Wheeler of Kailua-Kona, who has been reported missing by his family.

He is considered endangered as he’s required take medication on a daily basis.

Wheeler is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He also has a mustache and beard and numerous visible tattoos on both of his feet.

Wheeler was last seen on Jan. 14 around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Manawalea and Kealakaa Street in Kailua-Kona. He was barefooted, wearing a gray-colored tank-top with black horizontal stripes and aqua colored shorts.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the police departments non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
