The U.S. Army Garrison on Hawai‘i has issued a schedule of upcoming military vehicle convoys from Kawaihae Harbor to Pōhakuloa Training Area.

Drivers should be advised of convoy times and locations in order to plan their local travel.

  • Jan. 9 – 8 a.m. & 10 a.m. Kawaihae to Pōhakuloa Training Area
  • Jan. 11 – 8 a.m. Kawaihae to Pōhakuloa Training Area
  • Jan. 15 – 8 a.m. Kawaihae to Pōhakuloa Training Area

Convoy leaders will continually assess conditions and conduct pull-over procedures on permissible straight-aways sections of the road to allow local residents the ability to bypass the convoy and reduce backed-up traffic.

To report concerns related to noise or training, contact the new U.S. Army Hawai‘i’s Community Concern Line at 808-787-1528 or [email protected]. Concerns are responded to during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
