Two men charged with theft of Acura Integra

Two men – 30-year-old Dillon Revilla of Honomu and 30-year-old Michael Perreira-Thompson of Mountain View – have been arrested and charged in relation to the theft of an Acura Integra from a gravel parking lot located at the intersection of Keawe and Haili Streets in Hilo on Oct. 17.

Revilla and Perreira-Thompson are scheduled to make their initial appearances on Friday afternoon in Hilo District Court. Both remain in custody in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Revilla and Perreira-Thompson were both charged with Theft in the First Degree (obtained or exerted unauthorized control over another person’s motor vehicle), and Unauthorized Control of a Propelled Vehicle in the First Degree.

The more serious charge, Theft in the First Degree, is a class B felony offense which carries a penalty of either a ten-year prison term or four years probation and up to eighteen months in jail.
