Wainaku Street Rehabilitation Project in Hilo to restart July 20

The Hawai’i County Department of Public Works will continue resurfacing Wainaku Street from Hau Lane to ‘Ohana Place on July 20 in Hilo.

Roadwork conducted by Yamada and Sons will occur from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be one lane closures on Wainaku Street and a road closure of Hau Lane.

No access will be available to Hau Lane from Highway 19 or Wainaku Street. The Hawai’i Police Department will be directing traffic.

No cars should be parked on the roadside for the resurfacing work.
