Update: Missing Pāhoa woman located in Kona in good health

Update July 13: Hawai‘i Island police report that Dakota Hargraves, who was previously reported as missing, was located in Kona on July 12, 2023, in good health.

Original post: Big Island police are asking the public for help with locating a 19-year-old Pāhoa woman who has been missing for two weeks.

The Hawaiʻi Police Department says Dakota Hargraves was last seen at about noon June 24 in the area of Piʻilani Road in Kalapana, walking and possibly hitchhiking.

Hargraves is described as 4 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, and Caucasian, with a medium build, shoulder-length blonde hair and hazel eyes. She has a “Goddess” tattoo on her left thigh and an unknown word tattooed in cursive on her right wrist.

Anyone who might have any information about the Hargraves’ whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
