Update May 12, 2023: Summer Keliikoa was located in good health, but Serenity Salmo-Kaawa is still missing.
Original post: Hawai‘i Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two 14-year-old girls who were reported as runaways in separate incidents in East Hawai‘i.
- Summer Keliikoa: She was last seen on April 29, 2023, at 1 a.m. on Rainbow Drive in the Ainaloa area of Pāhoa. She was wearing a white tank-top, dark shorts and brown laced slippers. Keliikoa is Hawaiian, 4 feet 11 inches tall and 100 pounds, with brown eyes and straight black shoulder length hair.
- Serenity Salmo-Kaawa: She was last seen in the 200 block of Waianuenue Avenue in Hilo on April 14, 2023, around 5 p.m. She was wearing a black tube top shirt, green camouflage pants, sneakers and a back pack. She is Hawaiian, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police ask anyone with information about Keliikoa’s or Salmo-Kaawa’s whereabouts to contact the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311.
