Big Island: apply to become an air traffic controller
There is still time to apply to become an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration.
Applications will open May 5 through 8. You still have four days to prepare your application by doing the following three things:
- Check your eligibility
- Gather your resume and required documents
- Prepare for a 6-month process that includes passing the Air Traffic Skills Assessment, and medical and security clearance
This week, the Federal Aviation Administration will have an opportunity for you to meet controllers in training; hear from current controllers and get your questions answered from the FAA’s human resources team about the application process, training, and job.
