Hawaiʻi Care Choices hosts free online healthcare talk for veterans, caregivers
Hawaiʻi Care Choices, formerly Hospice of Hilo, will host a free online healthcare talk story on April 10 about palliative care for veterans or anyone living with serious illnesses and their at-home caregivers.
The webinar is open to the public and will be conducted online at 10 a.m. through Zoom and Facebook Live.
The presentation will feature Maricar Souza, Veterans Outreach Specialist from the Hilo Veterans Center. Souza provides counseling for combat veterans and their families. She will discuss how she helps veterans living with serious illnesses, including those dealing with cancer, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and kidney, liver and lung diseases.
On April 15, at the Merrie Monarch Parade, a walk will be conducted to recognize HiCare’s 40 years of compassionate care provided to honored veterans and the community at large.
This presentation will also be streamed on the Hawaiʻi Care Choices Facebook Page.
Interested individuals can register for the Zoom presentation by visiting the Hawaiʻi Care Choices website.
