Serenity Salmo-Kāʻawa

Update: Big Island police report that 14-year-old Serenity Salmo-Kāʻawa, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located Feb. 25 in Hilo in good health.

Original story: Have you seen 14-year-old Serenity Salmo-Kāʻawa? If you have, the Hawai‘i Police Department wants to know. Police are asking for the public’s assistance with locating the teen, who was reported as a runaway.

Salmo-Kāʻawa was last seen about 8 a.m. Feb. 21 in the 500 block of Waiānuenue Avenue in Hilo, wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes. She is described as Hawaiian, about 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311.
