EPIC building permit system to get upgrade

Hawai‘i County’s electronic building permit system will be offline for a weekend at the end of this month.

The county Department of Public Works Building Division and the Planning Department will install a system upgrade to the Electronic Processing and Information Center, or EPIC, system from 4:30 p.m. Oct. 28 until 8 a.m. Oct. 31. During this time, EPIC will not accept new permits, payments or allow any document to be uploaded.

The new upgrade will not affect any process on the user’s end.
