Awards keep rolling in for the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo women’s soccer team.

The team recently was named a United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award winner. The award recognized exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2021-22 academic year. The Vulcan women’s soccer team posted a team grade-point average of 3.40 to rank No. 373 among the nearly 500 women’s teams awarded.

A total of 783 men’s and women’s soccer teams earned the award with team GPAs of 3.0 or higher.

The UH-Hilo women’s team last won the team academic award for the 2018-19 school year, when it racked up a combined GPA of 3.37.

The Vulcans begin their season Sept. 1, looking to defend their PacWest Conference championship.
