Update: Police located two teen runaways in good health

Update: Big Island police reported Monday, July 25, that 15-year-old Mary Costner was located Sunday, July 24, in good health in Kona. Police also have located 17-year-old Anuhea Pinheiro-Basques, who was found July 28 in Hilo in good health.

Original story: Big Island police are asking for the public’s help with locating two missing teens.

The Hawai‘i Police Department says 17-year-old Anuhea Pinheiro-Basques and 15-year-old Mary Costner were reported as runaways. Both were last seen at 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, in the 1700 block of Kino‘ole Street in Hilo.

Pinherio-Basques is described as Hawaiian, about 5, feet 2 inches tall, weighing 119 pounds, with a small build. She was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants and white shoes.

Costner is described as local, about 5, feet 4 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with a medium build. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and slippers.
