Dona Mokiao

Update: Police reported at 4:26 p.m. Friday, July 15, that Dona Mokiao has been located in Hilo in good health. The Hawai‘i Police Department thanks the public for their assistance.

Original story: Big Island police are asking for help from the public to find a woman deemed to be at risk.

The Hawai‘i Police Department reports that 62-year-old Dona Mokiao was reported missing and is in need of medication. Mokiao is described as Hawaiian, being 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen at 5:45 a.m. Friday, July 15, at the intersection of Kino‘ole Street and Lanikāula Street in Hilo, wearing white pants, a blue jacket and carrying a brown bag.

Police ask anyone who can assist with helping safely locate Mokiao to call 911 or contact police dispatch at 808-935-3311.
