All Lanes of Highway 11 Near South Pszyk Road in Mountain View Now Open

Update: Police reported at 3:44 p.m. Sunday that all lanes of Highway 11 near the intersection of of South Pszyk Road in Mountain View are now open. The Hawai‘i Police Department thanked the public for its patience.

Original story: Big Island police report that Highway 11 at the intersection of South Pszyk Road in Mountain View is closed because of a fallen tree that fell on utility lines.

Utility companies are responding.

The closure will require the detour of traffic for the next several hours. Motorists are advised to use suggested alternate routes on North Kulani Road and North Peck Road.
