Police Seek Missing Kea‘au Teen

Big Island police are asking the public for help with locating a missing teen.
According to a media release from the Hawai‘i Police Department, 14-year-old Daniel Soares of Kea‘au was reported as a runaway. He was last seen at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, in Kea‘au, wearing a blue shirt and gray sweat pants.
Soares is described as having a slim build, being 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown eyes and short, curly brown hair. There is no photo available.
Anyone with any information about Soares’ whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 808-935-3311.
