DOH Reports 3,167 New COVID Cases Sunday

The state Department of Health reported 3,167 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 202,273. Four new fatalities were reported.

A total of 371 new infections were identified Sunday on the Big Island. According to county Civil Defense, the DOH also reported 5,492 active cases and 44 people hospitalized.

Civil Defense said community testing is scheduled from noon-7 p.m. Monday at Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo and 2-5 p.m. at the Waimea District Park.

  • Hawaiʻi: 21,418

  • Kaua‘i: 8,434
  • Moloka‘i: 816
  • Lana‘i: 457
  • Pending: 0
  • Out-of-State: 4,691

A total of 7,144 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,146 have died.
