Big Island Sees 208 New COVID Infections Tuesday

The state Department of Health reported 2,929 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the statewide total to 150,028. No new fatalities were reported.

A total of 208 new infections were identified Tuesday on the Big Island. On Monday, Hawaiʻi Civil Defense reports 3,533 active cases and 27 persons hospitalized.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

  • O‘ahu: 106,573
  • Hawaiʻi: 16,307
  • Maui: 16,664
  • Kaua‘i: 5,627
  • Moloka‘i: 558
  • Lana‘i: 271
  • Pending: 0
  • Out-of-State: 4,028

A total of 5,376 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,105 have died.
