State Reports 4,578 New COVID Cases Sunday

The state Department of Health reported 4,578 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 143,224. Three new fatalities were reported.
A total of 364 new infections were identified Sunday on the Big Island. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
- O‘ahu: 101,813
- Hawaiʻi: 15,751
- Maui: 15,604
- Kaua‘i: 5,313
- Moloka‘i: 526
- Lana‘i: 255
- Pending: 0
- Out-of-State: 3,962
A total of 5,370 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,105 have died.
