Hawaiian Electric is responding to a power outage affecting 1,408 customers from the Hilo Municipal Golf Course to the Shipman Ranch/Keaau Town area.
The power company tweeted about the outage at 12:50 p.m. A first responder was en route.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
