Advisory Areas:
South Big Island, Big Island North and East-Kohala including the cities of South Point, Pahala, Hilo, Volcano, Honokaa, Kamuela, and Waikoloa.

There is a wind advisory in effect from noon Feb. 28 to 6 p.m. Monday Mar. 1.

  • WHAT…East to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
    mph.
  • WHERE…Portions of the Big Island, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and
    Kahoolawe.
  • WHEN…From noon today to 6 p.m. HST Monday.
  • IMPACTS…Winds this strong are capable of downing temporary
    structures, trees and causing localized power outages.

Motorists should use extra caution.
