Big Island Surf Forecast
Hilo side: Wave heights are forecast to be head high to a few feet overhead today.
Kona side: Wave heights are expected to be shoulder high today with overhead sets at the best breaks.
South: Wave heights are expected to be shoulder high today with overhead sets at the best breaks.
Our current west-northwest swell is forecast to slowly fade over the next few days. The same storm is expected to bring more swell for the middle of the week as well with another solid west-northwest for the end of the week as well.
Small south-southwest swell continues. New south-southwest fills in later this week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
