Police Search for Missing Man Who is Also Wanted

badgeA 70-year-old man is being searched for by the Hawai’i Police Department after he was reported missing in Hilo.

HPD reports that Edmond Rodrigues went missing around noon on Monday and his family is concerned about his well-being.

Rodrigues is described as 5-foot-9. He has an average build with salt-and-pepper hair and a mustache. In addition, authorities day he was described as having a tattoo of a dragon on his right lower leg and a tattoo of the name “Nainoa” on his left lower leg.

Police say Rodrigues was last seen wearing black shorts and a white T-shirt.

He may be operating a 1994 Toyota 4Runner.

In addition to being missing, HPD reports that Rodrigues is also wanted for questioning in connection with a criminal investigation.

Members of the public should not approach the man, as he may be armed and dangerous, according to police.

Rodrigues’ image was not immediately available.

Anyone with information regarding Rodrigues’ whereabouts should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Those who would like to remain anonymous should call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
