No hunting will take place over the weekend at Pohakuloa Training Area.
United States Army Garrison officials say PTA will be closed for the next several weekends, extending through the month of May for military training.
The training is anticipated to last through the month and hunting is anticipated to resume on June 4.
Nearly every weekend, Pohakuloa Training Area opens up various portions of its grounds for hunting of a variety of mammals and birds. Permits are required.
To learn more about hunting at PTA, call the PTA Hunter’s Hotline at 969-3474 or visit the U.S. Army Garrison website and click on the “hunting” tab.
