Hilo Man Faces Charges After Being Located with County Property

The Hawai’i Police Department has charged a 26-year-old Hilo man with theft after he was located with property belonging to Hawai’i County.

Winson Reiong of Hilo was arrested Wednesday morning on a bench warrant for contempt of court. During the arrest, he had a two-way radio that belonged to a county agency in his possession.

The radio was found to be missing since April 22.

Reiong was charged with second-degree theft and contempt of court. His bail was set at $5,500. He will appear in court for his initial appearance on Thursday.
