Thieves Break in to County Facility, Remove Buckets of Cash

badgeThe public’s assistance is being sought by authorities after a break-in at a county facility on Lanikaula Street occurred over the weekend.

According to the Hawai’i Police Department, the break-in took place sometime between late Friday evening and early Saturday afternoon at a facility on the 600 block of Lanikaula Street.

A total of three white five-gallon buckets that had coins and paper money and paper bus pass tickets were taken.

Anyone with information about the incident or those involved and in possession of the items should call Officer Jacob Obermiller directly at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
