Police Seek Man in Connection to Stolen Vehicle

A 30-year-old man wanted for questioning in connection to a stolen pick-up truck is being sought by authorities.

According to the Hawai’i Police Department, the wanted individual is Jantzen-James K. Mata.

Mata is described as 5-foot-7 and 152 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair.

Authorities say Mata’s last known address was in Hilo.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mata should call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Detective Robert Almeida directly by calling 961-2386 or e-mailing [email protected].

Those whose preference is to remain anonymous should call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
