Crews work on downed lines along Pilipaa Street in Hilo, Wednesday evening.

Pilipaa Street in Hilo has reopened, according to the Hawai’i Police Department.

The roadway between Puainako Street and Kahaopea Street was closed just after 7 p.m. Wednesday following a report of downed power lines.

Police reported around 10 p.m. that work would continue throughout the night and the closure would remain in effect until Thursday morning.

The road reopened just after 8 a.m.
