Candidates for Hawai’i Senate Districts 1 and 2 will be part of a forum hosted by the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and its student newspaper, Ke Kalahea.

The candidate forum is part of UH-Hilo’s Media Symposium, which is being held on Saturday, April 9. The forum begins at 2 p.m. at the school’s Campus Center.

District 1 candidates represent the greater Hilo area, while District 2 covers Puna. It has not been confirmed which candidates in each race will attend the event.

Admission to the event is free for UH-Hilo students and $5 for the general public.
