A 24-year-old wanted by the Hawai’i Police Department has been located.

The Hawai’i Police Department was searching for Randi-Keli Banagan of Captain Cook for questioning in a Sunday incident at the scenic lookout off Kamehameha III Road in Keauhou.

According to authorities, two people drove to the scenic lookout in a gray or silver van. A woman reportedly exited the van and pointed a “black handgun” at a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.

A second suspect was reportedly holding a rifle and spoke in what sounded like a male voice before both suspects fled.

Banagan was arrested Monday afternoon in Kailua-Kona on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree reckless endangering. She is being held at the Kona police cellblock as Area II Criminal Investigations Section detectives continues to investigate the incident.
