Highway 19 reopened Sunday at about 8:30 a.m.

The roadway, beginning at Bayfront Highway, was closed on Saturday evening from Pauahi Street through Highway 19 at Hau Street in the Wainaku area as a result of a downed utility pole.

Hawai’i County Civil Defense initially reported multiple downed poles. The information has since been corrected to just one pole.
