The Hawai’i Department of Public Works said Monday morning that additional investigation into the damage to a Nanawale water spigot has found that only one of four water sources have been damaged.

Water is currently available from the three other site sources.

Work remains scheduled for Tuesday on the damaged spigot.

A water spigot in Nananwale Estates was damaged over the weekend.

According to the County of Hawai’i Department of Public Works, the damage has resulted in a shut off of the community water resource.

Repair work is scheduled to take place Tuesday and should be completed by 4:30 p.m.

Two alternate water spigot sites have been identified. The Keonepoko spigot is located along Highway 130 at the nine mile-marker, and in Kalapana, another spigot is placed along Highway 130 near Ahia Road.
