Authorities seek the identity of the individual pictured. HPD photo.

The Hawai’i Police Department is looking for the identity of an individual wanted in connection to a theft investigation.

On Feb. 1 at about 5 p.m., a male suspect left the Target Hilo store on East Maka’ala Street in Hilo without paying for items valued over $150.

Authorities say the suspect was captured on surveillance video.

The individual is described as Caucasian and about 6-feet tall. He appears to have brown hair and a slim build.

In the surveillance image, the suspect was wearing a black t-shirt and blue surf shorts.

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the photo should call Officer William Brown at 961-2213 or the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
